Because the original courthouse (1926) could no longer support the county needs, this three-story 97,000 square foot facility began construction in 2009. The building contains four craftily designed state courtrooms, county probate and magistrate courtrooms, jury selection room and supporting personnel offices. The electrical infrastructure incorporates technologically up to date Access Controls, Closed Circuit Television, and Security systems. Energy efficient decorative lighting accentuates woodwork interior.
